What to Check Before Launching an AI Agent
By ADEL — 2026-10-22
Write the next step, the stop rules, the calendar, and the owner. Then pick AI OS or custom. Launch is configuration, not a personality pack.
Agents fail at launch for boring reasons. Nobody named the next step. The calendar is a screenshot. Voice was turned on without consent copy. Staff still live in a personal chat, so the OS is a museum.
Checklist we actually use
- Next step. Consult, measure, showroom, morning handoff, manager review. One sentence.
- Forbidden list. No invented prices, no payment, no medical or legal advice, no pretending an internal brand is a third-party client.
- Source of truth. ADEL OS, or write-back to an existing CRM.
- Channels. Start with the ones customers already use. Do not launch five.
- After hours. Book, hold, or queue. Written.
- Owner. Who opens the card at 9am.
- Sample conversations. Anonymized. Not a fake Nike CRM.
Kitchen vs glass vs tenders
If the checklist points at a designer slot, you are in AI OS and the VINT / Vertex path. If it points at a PDF from a price list, you are in quoting. If it points at a tender PDF, you are in operations. Launching the wrong agent is more expensive than waiting a week to classify the work.
What “ready” looks like on a demo
You can paste a real (anonymized) inquiry. You can open a real calendar. You can say who takes over. We configure from that, then talk plans on pricing. If the work is custom, the demo becomes a scoping session — still useful, different outcome.
